Now all that, I don't remember. I'd have to look up the direction thing. I do know that my house faces north and that's bad.

But yah, octagonal mirrors, chimes, plants, the occasional red bling, all the elements, etc. I can honestly tell a difference once I rearrange or decorate a specific area. Especially relationship and family. I'm telling you, Asians got this one right.

Feng Shui makes total sense tho. It's all about keeping a space clear, allowing positive energy to flow. Energy exists - that's real. We're made of pure energy - it's physics. If there's a good flow around you, then there will be a good flow inside you.

It's quite fascinating imho. A friend bought it for me. There's a book too. I watch it every now and then for a boost. But I find it REALLY hard to always think positively. That's pretty much the gist of it - think positive and you'll get positive. I'm just used to my old motto "expect the worst and hope for the best." Might explain a lot iono.

So I concur, Feng Shui seems like a huge PITA. Way to go for you guys for stickin with it, haha. As for Voodoo, no cool stories of mysterious dead animals over here... but I've had friends here and there that would be into the stuff. When I was a kid, my mom had an argument with one of the neighbors, and they broke into my ma's car and left a voodoo doll inside for her. She burned it up on their front porch the next day, and we didn't seem all that cursed. One of my old roommates was from the islands, and he would talk about how commonplace voodoo is in those parts. He would do candleburning type spells to attract money, but he never did anything too crazy. Another friend on mine knew some stuff about Santeria. He used to take so much pride in his think long hair (was probably longer than mine which is at least in the middle of my back) and he started losing his hair in his early 20's and swore someone had used his hair to put a curse on him. He would always be extremely cautious about where he brushed his hair, and would never just clean the hair out of his hairbrushes and throw it away. If you touched dudes hairbrush the wrong way he'd kinda go ballistic. That's all I really know about that, lol. I'm not sure about having spells cast on me though. I personally believe IF something like that is valid, it's important to be conscious of the energy you feed into such belief systems. For example, if someone is worried about a spell being placed on them, and become fearful of it... like a placebo effect they may find weird shit manifesting in their life, just because that's what they're focusing on. At the same time, I think people can f*ck with you, energetically speaking. Take the example of energy vampires, which is a common theory. I know personally I have had experiences that lead me to believe the thoughts and intentions of others can in some crazy off the wall way have an effect on us. So I think it's important to stay aware of the energy we sense from the people around us, because the sh!t people even indirectly, and even without voodoo dolls, definitely seems like it can have an affect on us. Same theory as how sometimes you can be "really psychic" about stuff with other people. Some days me and my boy seriously seem to share one brain, it can be so uncanny it's scary. Think that's a good example of how internal stuff can be projected outward, even unconsciously. Crap, you can tell I'm bored at work when I reallllllllly get to rambling like that. Whoops!
