ok so im starting up a non profit organization in Toronto to help down and out new mothers who are new to the country. (im only helping South/Central American families cuz i hate everyone else)

the story behind it.

i do this Mom2Mom Sale thingy here where a bunch of moms rent out a space and put up their kids stuff for sale.
there really is no money to be made there, but its great for the mommys that are looking for 'gently used' stuff for their kids.
its a great little program and i enjoy doing it... yes me!
anyhoo.. somewhere along the line, i met this woman who was collecting anything she could for a young mom (32 yrs old) who JUST gave birth to her 4th child and was diagnosed with cancer during her child birth. she has been given 3 months to live.
she has been in canada for 5 months and has NO ONE and nothing here.
and I know whats its like to move to a new country and not know a single soul.
so i decided
that instead of donating my time on the Mom2Mom sales, im going to focus on collecting items to donate to this young mom and others in her position.
its going to be a non profit organization. so i wont make a dime, im actually going to put my own money into starting this.
i have to rent a storage space to store the shit i will be collecting and i "MAY' do an ad/commercial with the local Hispanic community Tv Station. Not sure yet.

this poor lady's oldest daughter who is 12 yrs old is taking care of her newborn sibling.
im going to give everything xavier doesnt use anymore to them.
i dont have much left cuz of the mom2mom sales but i know lots of bitches with money who are gonna donate cash and stuff.

she comes from the mountains of colombia, the people there have no means of birth control
they are very poor. running water is a luxury.
she speaks no english.
she is staying here with some people from a local church.

its a little more complicated than her just being irresponsible. i think its more shes ignorant. in the sense that she just doesnt know any better.

That's very nice of you Kiki. I always gave most of my kids stuff away, and it was always brand new-like condition. I was a bit selective in who I gave stuff to; more to people who could really use them, instead of having means to go out and buy clothes every season. Some people are just stupid shoppers though, too. Anyway, I give most of my youngest's clothes to his babysitter's son.

Being that your new org is basically hispanic, you could qualify for grants and such to help fund it.

There are probably just a handful of causes that I would actually put effort into. Helping young mothers is one. The other is helping animals. My heart doesn't have room for anything else

I agree .. I have very little sympathy for people who have multiple kids when they can't afford the 1st one.

Since they can't seem to afford the free comdoms they hand out at the abortion clinics .. they could at least afford to keep their legs shut.

I still donate though, because the kids can't help that they have shitty parents.

I fI hadn't already given all Drake's stuff away .. I'd send it to you. I might see if my mom has some stashed away though, or if my cousin has any from his kidola left over.

like i said she is very poor and not educated at all. 3rd world.
i want to help her. shes about to die. shitting on her for not using a condom is prob the last thing she wants to hear.
at this point its about these 4 kids that are about to be orphans.

a good foster home that will take them all. So they're not seperated from each other after they lose their mother. Education, food and stuff
