We were together for almost four years, beginning when I was 17. She was pretty much the center of my universe. When we broke it off (and by 'we' I mean she), she told me I would never find another girl like her. And that I was destined to be miserable my whole life, among other things. It's pretty amazing how things that you think are so certain can turn out to be so wrong.

I took it pretty hard. I still don't know the details of why she wanted to part ways. She said a lot of things to me and about me that simply weren't true. I had a lot of questions about it, but she didn't have any answers.

I haven't talked to her in almost three years, but I do hear about her from our mutual friends. Knots my stomach up every time. She's engaged to the guy she started seeing right after me. And my love life has --for the most part-- been floundering ever since. She's been right so far. Haha.

We met almost 10 years ago and I had this abnormally strong, immediate attraction to him. Fell flat on my face in love, then we split up after a 2 year stint due to his commitment issues. Long story short... my feelings for other men never compared to the way I felt for him. Five years later we crossed paths again and papa had a brand new bag (actually he did a lot of growing up and we were finally at the point where we both wanted the same thing from eachother).

It's been 3 years now and we're still going strong, to both of our amazement.
